|Title||Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to The Under Secretary of State for the Colonies|
|Date||27 May 1904|
|Description||President and Council have formed a Committee for the purpose of investigating Malta Fever. It comprises of Colonel Bruce from the War Office, Staff Surgeon Ernest A Shaw of H M S 'Vulcan' to represent the Navy, and Dr Zammit to represent the Colonial Office. It will be commenced without delay.|
It would be of service if the Colonial Office could secure Major Horrocks, who has competence for this sort of research. It is also hoped that a scientific officer of the Army Medical Corps called up for the task may be granted increased subsistence allowance.
