|Title||Copy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Professor Weiss|
|Date||15 July 1904|
|Description||Council has had under consideration the question of referring the American proposal relating to Solar Research to the International Association of Academies. A large fund would be provided by the Carnegie Institution of Washington, and a project would be partially launched at St Louis next September. It would be desirable for a British astronomer to offer their view, so Council have set up a joint committee with the Royal Astronomical Society.|
They have asked the representative at the St Louis meeting to stipulate for harmonious working with the Solar Physics sub committee of the International Meteorological Committee.
