Date18 June 1901
DescriptionIn continuation of his letter of 4 August 1899, Foster now encloses a further list of recommendations which the Royal Society desires to make for the presentation of surplus volumes of the Challenger report. The special claims of the German South Polar Expedition, and the importance of the General Assembly Library at Wellington, and the Biological Station of the Imperial Society of Naturalists on the Murman Coast of Russia, constitutes sufficient reason for recommending that a complete set should be given in each case.

Provides a list of applications for copies of the Challenger report recommended by the Royal Society, ordered by institution and the volume recommended.
