DescriptionAcknowledges receipt of Walton and Hollins' letter of 6 October addressed to Dr Thorpe, Foreign Secretary, and communicating preliminary notice on a synodic law of the elements. Notes no paper intended to be laid before the Royal Society can be received unless communicated by a Fellow. Nevertheless their letter and diagrams were laid before the Secretaries who have concluded the communication is not suitable for acceptance by the Society. Returns the diagrams [not enclosed].
