DescriptionA resolution was adopted unanimously today by a Joint Committee of the University of Cambridge and the Royal Society that steps should be taken to obtain a memorial in Westminster Abbey to the late Sir George Gabriel Stokes. If the authorities are favourable, the Committee will obtain the necessary funds and make arrangements with the Abbey for a choice of sculptor.
