Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Ford North, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 28 July 1903 |
Description | Is sorry that North considers the subject of their correspondence as any matter of controversy. Sends a copy of the current year book from which North will see that the wording of the statue governing the payment of subscriptions remains the same, but the class of Fellows to which North belongs, Privy Councillors, is no longer elected. Will lay the correspondence before the Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] as North desires. Harrison called the bankers to account for taking it upon themselves to make a statement as to the subscription payable by Fellows. The Society's bankers repudiate having many any such statement. |
