Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Walter Frank Raphael Weldon, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 4 February 1904 |
Description | The Secretaries of the Royal Society, having seen the documents relating to Major Ronald Ross's paper on the Congo Maggot, suggest that, to simplify matters, the opinion of an unofficial Fellow or Member of the Committee is obtained prior to it being sent to the whole Committee. If the opinion is unfavourable, they can then inform Ross and suggest withdrawing the Paper on the basis of the negative reaction.
Harrison asks if Weldon approves of the suggestion, and if so, who he might suggest. Dr Joseph Larmor thought Mr McLachlan or David Sharp might be suitable. |
