TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Edwin Ray Lankester, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date2 May 1904
DescriptionHarrison discusses a recent visit from Mr Read of the Colonial Office concerning the subject [Mediterrean Fever] of a letter from the Director of the Medical Department of the Navy, and he reminds Lankester of a resolution passed by his Committee, which was passed to the Colonial Office. He notes the ambiguity of the term 'Commission' in the letter from the Colonial Office, and reports Read's wish for Lankester's Committee to reconcile the Admiralty's view with their resolution, and suggests that they ask Sir Henry Norbury to attend the Meeting. He asks that Lankester inform him by telegram if he approves of this course of action.

He suggests that Lankester may also want to invite a War Office representative, unless Colonel Bruce is considered representative enough of their views.
