DescriptionSending the referee's reports on Major [Percy Alexander] MacMahon's paper 'On the Theory of the Partitions of Numbers', and would be glad to know whether he is willing to authorise the printing of the paper in 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' under Standing Order 43/

The Council have appointed Sir William Niven to succeed Love as chair of the Mathematics Committee, the appointment dating from next January, so Love still has until 31 December to serve.
