Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Edwin Ray Lankester, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 13 January 1905 |
Description | Is delighted to hear of his success at the Foreign Office. Geikie will write at one to the Foreign Office by authority of the President such an application as he suggests. Has put down the deputation or conference for mention at the Council, when no doubt full authority will be given. The members of the sub-committee for this conference are Lankester, Kirk, Mott, Bruce and Geikie. Proposes to summon them 24 January, and to enclose for their consideration a copy of the questions which Sir [Michael] Foster has sent for discussion.
Writing to Bruce to see if he can do the necessary cutting down on Captain Greig's paper at once, but understands that it would be most convenient if he waited til Greig himself comes back at the end of the month. Bruce would regret if this report, which seems to be a continuation of his own work, was printed in a different shape. |
