|Title||Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to William Turner Thiselton-Dyer, Fellow of the Royal Society|
|Date||15 February 1889|
|Description||Their volumes of 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' for 1888 are ready, and should be sent to the Library of Kew Gardens in a few days. Rix states that it will not now be possible to consent to their wish for cloth-bound copies, as the Royal Society officers have discussed the provisional assent given during the officers absence, and decided that they cannot grant it in one instance, where it has been declined in so many other cases.|
A postscript notes that Messrs Harrison are the binders of the volumes, and they could obtain cloth cases from them if they prefer that binding.
