Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Secretary, Royal Society] |
Date | 25 June 1889 |
Description | Rix sends thanks for Foster's instructions about the Scientific Relief Fund, and will explain what the future procedure is to be at their next meeting. Rix only raised the case in question as, when it occurred, the Committee hesitated over the correct procedure. Rix will write to the Treasurer, John Evans, about the admission fee as he does not understand it, as these were abolished a generation ago, except for privy councillors.
Rix asks if he should arrange a meeting of Galton, Edwin Ray Lankester and Edward Albert Schafer to chose the Eadweard James Muybridge photographs, and asks if Foster wishes to assist. Rix also notes that he has written to Evans to appoint a time for the sub-committee concerning books in the basement. |
