Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Royal Society] |
Date | 22 July 1889 |
Description | Rix has informed William Bateson that they cannot illustrate the abstract with woodcuts which which will be produced as lithographs for the full paper, and so the matter has been settled, allowing him to proceed with 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'. There is an undecided matter remaining though, as Bateson has requested groups of shells, as yet undrawn, to accompany the specimen shell illustrations in his paper.
Rix has asked that Bateson write to Foster with details of the number of figures and whether he is prepared to sacrifice any specimen shell illustrations for the groups. |
