DescriptionAcknowledges Scott's letter of 26 January in which he states he is willing to reconsider the possibility of introducing a diagram into his paper 'On a New Type of Sphenophyllaceous Cone' and to show the best-established points in the structure of Sphenophylum fertile. Asks if Scott would like the manuscript back for this purpose.

Encloses the illustrations as Scott requests to enable him to consider the possibility of making some of the photographs more satisfactory.
