Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Frederick Walker Mott, Fellow of the Royal Society, 25 Nottingham Place, W. |
Date | 14 March 1905 |
Description | Sir A Geikie has handed Harrison Mott's letter and paper. There is not now time to set up the whole paper and have copies in the room on Thursday, and he therefore returns it to Mott as he requests to have it typewritten. Asks for a brief digest of the paper which would occupy about one octavo page of print. This could be set up to be present on the table at the meeting.
Mott calls his note an abstract but Harrison presumes from what he has previously said that this is the whole of a preliminary note. Queries if it would therefore be better to omit the word 'Abstract' from the title and add the phrase 'Preliminary Note', as in the title announced for reading. |
