TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Mr William Robert Bousfield, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date6 April 1905
DescriptionBousfield's paper on ionic sizes and the letters and reports relating there to were considered yesterday by the Committee of Physics and Chemistry. The Committee felt, in view of the referee's reports, that Bousfield's theoretical view requires further evidence before they could be published by the Royal Society. They report to Council that the paper be reserved for the 'Zeitschrift für Physikalische Chemie' as Bousfield's letter suggested.

The Society retains the manuscript of all papers read before it and if Bousfield does not have a copy he will need to arrange to have one made. The abstract in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' is already printed off. Council meets on 13 April and would probably accept the Committee's report.
