DescriptionAt the meeting of the Council of the Royal Society last week it was resolved that £50 be contributed towards the publication of the Index to the 'Geological Magazine' on condition that the Officers are satisfied that the work cannot be published without such assistance and that Woodward is willing to place the index as early as may be convenient in the hands of the Society, for the preparation of the Catalogue of Scientific Literature, up to the close of the last century.
