|The President [William Huggins] has arranged provisionally with the President of the Royal Astronomical Society [H H Turner] to receive preliminary reports on the observations of the recent eclipse, but before issuing the notices for the meeting he is directed to ask if Turner will be prepared by that date to make a preliminary communication on his observations.
