| Description | At the meeting of the Soiree Committee held to consider the exhibits for the May Conversazione, it was suggested that a small exhibit might be arranged demonstrating Professor R W Wood's experiment for showing the pressure due to sound waves where a small horizontal paddle is made to spin. The experiment was recently described in the 'Physikalosche Zeitschrift'. This exhibit was dropped for May, but it is now suggested that Callendar or perhaps Watson, might be willing to arrange the exhibit for the Ladies Conversazione. |
