Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to John Milne, [Fellow of the Royal Society] |
Date | 5 March 1906 |
Description | Geikie returns Milne's address having reviewed it, and has made recommendations on it in pencil which he can consider. The Council propose 'Recent advances in Seismology' as a title, and Geikie recommends keeping this. He assumes that Milne would prefer to speak rather than read his paper, and notes that a few lantern slides, providing they are clear and illustrative, will provide added interest.
Milne also needs to decide on whether or not he wishes for the manuscript to be set up in type for the use of Fellows at the meeting. If he decides in favour of making a printed copy available, he will need to return the manuscript at least ten days before the lecture to allow time for setting up, correcting of proofs, and printing. |
