Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Karl Pearson, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 17 May 1906 |
Description | Harrison is replying, on Archibald Geikie's behalf due to the continuing effects of an eye infection, to Pearson's letter about a note by Professor Walter Frank Raphael Weldon on Hurst's paper on 'Norse colours'. Both Geikie and Professor Joseph Larmor deny having received any note from Weldon at the time of the meeting at which Hurst's paper was read in November, nor can Harrison find any evidence of it having been handed to his office.
Weldon did express, at the meeting, his intention to communicate his independent analysis to the Royal Society, but it seems that they received nothing until he presented his paper in January. |
