I have the honour to enclose herewith a card of invitation to the forthcoming Soirée of the Royal Society, and I shall be much obliged if you will place the card before Their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess Christian, and express on behalf of myself and the Fellows of the Society generally the great gratification it would give us if Their Royal Highnesses would honour us with Their presence on this occasion.
