TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to W Hugh Spottiswoode, His Majesty's Printing Office, 6 Middle New Street, Fetter Lane, E.C.
Date18 June 1906
DescriptionHas referred Spottiswoode's letter of the 15 June to the President [John William Strutt] and he has authorized Harrison as a personal courtesy, to send a card of invitation for Wednesday's Soiree for Mr and Mrs Clement Shorter. Encloses the card so that Spottiswoode can forward it with a message. Some hesitation in acceding to the request was imposed by the fact that no editors of papers are officially asked to this Soiree, and by the obvious desirability of avoiding invidious distinctions.
