| Description | Has 'waded' again through the correspondence relating to Gifford's' paper. The referee drew pointed attention to the discrepancy between the two [?] which would lead to unknown possibilities of error. Is also very clear that the two pages[?] and diagram about a quartz errata lens ought to be omitted as not pertinent.
If Gifford authorizes these omissions Larmor could take the responsibility of passing the paper as for press, as it stands. Thinks the best course is to consult the Physics Committee at the next meeting on the whole question, as it is only in cases that are clear that he has authority to act. |
