DescriptionThe Copley Medal was received on his behalf at the Anniversary Meeting of the Royal Society by an attache of the French Embassy on behalf of the Ambassador, who has kindly agreed to forward it on. Darwin is also sending on a cheque for £50, a bonus which accompanies the medal.
