Description | Harrison's letter of 22 June enclosed a statement and various publications dealing with the work undertaken, partly by aid of the £500 contributed from the Tropical Diseases Research Fund, during 1905. More complete reports have been prepared and are in course of publication under the direction partly of the Crown Agents for the Colonies and partly of the Colonial Office. Regarding the application of £500 for 1906, the Royal Society has announced its intention of applying that contribution to the prosecution of therapeutic researches, in connection with Sleeping Sickness. This research will be conducted under a small committee appointed by the Royal Society, and will likely be tedious and laborious, and there is no report on the work done in this direction for presentation to the Colonial Office. |
