TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir James Dewar, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date15 January 1907
DescriptionSent on a letter from Dr Joseph Larmor this morning. Is very sorry that Dewar is unhappy with the publication in 'Chemical News' of Coates' paper in an unrevised form, but it is an error for which the office, and not Larmor, is responsible. The usual course of action was taken in regard of the proof of the paper, and the exception Dewar had taken to some omissions were made in private correspondence with Larmor. Harrison had no knowledge that the corrections to be anticipated were more than verbal. They did not think that 'Chemical News' would publish it in full. If an amended proof can be sent to them, then Harrison would be happy to do all he can.
