DescriptionIt is not general practice of the Royal Society to allow manuscripts to leave the building for purposes of revision, but in view of the circumstances named in his letter to Professor Joseph Larmor, the Secretaries have allowed for the manuscript to be returned to him on the understanding that the manuscript in its revised state only, and not as originally presented, will be regarded as having been communicated to the Royal Society.
