DescriptionHarrison responds to their enquiry, stating the regulations concerning election of members to the General Board of the National Physical Laboratory provide that no member of the General Board or Executive Committee will be eligible for reappointment until at least a year has elapsed since their retirement, unless the President and Council of the Royal Society consider there to be any special reason for their services being retained. He refers to regulation 7 on page 95 of the Society's Year Book.
