|Title||Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Albert Abraham Michelson, Foreign Member of the Royal Society, Grand Hotel, Trafalgar Square, W.C.|
|Date||28 November 1907|
|Description||Michelson's letter to Mr James has been handed on to Harrison, and he has pleasure in sending a card for the Anniversary dinner on Saturday evening in return. |
He has responded to an enquiry from Lord Rayleigh for Michelson's address, telegraphing it on to him, and he encloses a letter he received for Michelson today. The Fellows of the Royal Society will begin to assemble at 3.30pm for the Anniversary meeting at 4pm, and he hopes Michelson can be present to receive the Copley Medal from the President. The meeting will deal with certain formal business, then the President will deliver his Anniversary address and proceed to the presentation of medals, after which the Society will deal with the election of new Council and Officers which is of little interest to visitors and so a good opportunity to leave and dress for dinner.
