| Description | Harrison encloses a cheque for £50 for Robarts Lubbock & Company, in return for which he has been instructed to ask that they forward him a draft on Chicago in favour of Professor Albert Abraham Michelson of that city, to whom the Royal Society wish to send the sum mentioned. He also acknowledges their letter of 1 January informing them that the Italian Irrigation Bonds standing on their Trusts account have been drawn to the value of £928, and asks that they reinvest that as soon as an opportunity presents itself to purchase similar bonds. In the likely event of an equivalent number of bonds not being immediately available, Harrison asks that they place it on deposit account. |
