Date | 31 January 1908 |
Description | Dr Hans Gadow, Lecturer at Cambridge University and Fellow of the Royal Society is about to travel in certain districts of Mexico, for the purpose of carrying out special zoological enquires. Harrison is directed by the President and Council [of the Royal Society] to express their hope that Sir Edward Grey may be able to give Gadow an introduction to His Majesty's Envoy Extraordinary in Mexico. Harrison is to further express a hope that it may be possible to secure the admission of Gadow's baggage into Mexico without its contents being opened, and free of customs duties, on the grounds it will contain nothing but the Naturalist's outfit necessary for such an exhibition. |
