| Description | Beevor's letter of the 3rd instant with reference to his full paper and reply to one of the referees, has been submitted to the Chairman of the appropriate Sectional Committee. There will be no objection to Beevor adding explanatory notes as long as they are printed separately and dated, but it is contrary to Society practice to publish any remarks in the form of replies to the criticisms of referees. For that reason Beevor's notes in their present form are not considered suitable for publication. Harrison returns the notes with proof of Beevor's paper. |
