DescriptionHarrison has got the Treasurer to concur with regard to the lettering of the plate of Sir Michael Foster's portrait. The artist's name should under the engraved part of the plate on one side. The inscription should be as follows:- Sir Michael Foster, KCB, MD, FRS, Secretary of the Royal Society 1881 - 1903. The Treasurer still concurs with the wish to soften the furrows in the forehead, if Cameron-Swan could persuade Mr Collier to agrees to this by telling him that a criticism has been made by several people.
