With reference to your letter of the 18th and 23rd instant with regard to the numeration of the volume of the 'Proceedings' [of the Royal Society], I have to say that the Volume 75 of the series is a special volume containing Obituaries of Deceased Fellows. It can be purchased from Messrs Harrison and Sons, St Martin's Lane, WC, at the published price of fifteen shillings (15/-). Your request for a copy of the missing plate No. 4 Proceedings No. 406 will receive attention.'
