TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor W [Walter] N [Noel] Hartley. Fellow of the Royal Society
Date30 April 1908
Description'Dear Professor Hartley,
In reproducing the plates to your paper on Benzene Spectra, Prof[essor] Larmor wishes me to inform you that he proposes to place the spectra out of their proper numerical order, so as to bring the subjects all into two plates. Otherwise 3 plates would be required. Thus Spectra 1, 2, 6, 7, would come on the first plate, and 3, 4, 5, on the second. The spectra will bear their proper numbers, but the explanatory matter will be printed on a page facing the plates. If I do not hear from your in a couple of days, I will pass the work on to the engravers to proceed on the above plan.'
