TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to J Goold
Date19 June 1908
DescriptionHis letter and proposition has been shown to the Treasurer and Officers, and while they are glad of his offer to demonstrate his Pendulum experiments at the Soiree, they do not think Harrison would be justified in charging his personal expenses to the Royal Society, an arrangement which would be contrary to all precedent, and would cause some difficulty among the other exhibitors. The pleasure of seeing the experiments repeated will have to be denied on this occasion.
