TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to A Milkau, Konighliche und Universitats-Bibliothek, Neue Sandstrasse 4, Breslau X
Date7 August 1908
DescriptionThe history of the despatch of 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' to Breslau University Library appears to have been cleared up. Sir [Thomas] Lauder Brunton, at that time on the Council, stated that the believed there was a large number of foreign institutions that would be glad of surplus copies of 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]', which were to be destroyed, and he communicated with said institutions abroad to furnish a list. Among them was Breslau, and it was assumed Brunton had communicated with them. Council would no doubt find it acceptable for them to pass on the copies to any institution abroad they deem suitable.
