The accompanying letter and enclosure from Professor Oskar Steinel of Kaiserlautern have been received at the Royal Society, but as the communication appears to come within the scope of the British Academy's activities, rather than those of the Royal Society, I send on both letter and enclosure to you for your information. I am writing to Professor Steinel to inform him of this action.'
