I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of January 16th addressed to the Royal Society and enclosing a reprint from the Frankischen Kurier of an article by your entitled "Gibt es flektierende sprachen?" As the subject of this communication does not come within the scope of the Royal Society's activities, I am sending on your letter and enclosure to the Secretary of the "British Academy for the promotion al historical, philosophical, and philological studies" for his information.'
