A vacancy arises on December 31 next in the representation of the Society of Chemical Industry on the General Board of the National Physical Laboratory owing to the retirement by seniority of Mr Tyler, and I am to ask you to move your Council to nominate a representative of your Society to fill this vacancy for the ensuing six years.
