DescriptionRix encloses the plate to illustrate Mr Haycroft's paper in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. Haycroft says he has sent the negatives but they must have an estimate before the plate is put in hand. Rix asks for an estimate for an octavo plate produced in the manner of the specimen the Company sent Haycroft, for 1500 copies including plate paper, and would like to know what date proofs would be ready.
