DescriptionRix acknowledges receipt of Wilde's paper 'on the causes of the phenomena of terrestrial magnetism, and on some electro-mechanism for exhibiting the secular changes in its horizontal and vertical components'. If the paper is intended for the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]', Rix asks for an abstract for publication in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' and for use at the meeting.
