DescriptionThe Officers say they cannot admit substitutions [to the Soirée] but that if either of the gentlemen has done anything for the Royal Society he may be invited provided that not more than one card is sent. Rix encloses a card for Mr M Parker and friend which leaves him free to bring a lady or 'G.D.P.'.
