Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mrs Huggins |
Date | 11 July 1890 |
Description | Rix is much indebted to Mrs Huggins for the trouble she has taken and shall be glad to see Miss Chambers next Wednesday at 11. The most difficult point is that Miss Chambers cannot start till 15 August but they wanted someone at once, however there may be a way around this. Rix quite agrees with Mrs Huggins about the pay. Rix wonders if Mrs Huggins knows of any women or girls who may work under Miss Chambers as copyists. They are paid 15 to 18 shillings a week depending on ability and experience. The posts do not require knowledge of languages but accuracy and a 'patient resignation to the most abominable monotony.' |
