Description'Dear Morley,
Mr A E Shipley, a Fellow of the Royal Society, has lately been appointed Editor of the "Fauna of British India", and in the hope of being able to introduce in that publication the system of abbreviations in Zoology which has been adopted by the International Catalogue, he has asked me to obtain for him if possible, a dozen copies of that list of abbreviations which I believe you [have]. If you can furnish me with these I shall be much obliged by your sending me with these I shall be much obliged by your sending them at your earliest convenience.'
