Referring to your letter of April 30th, we have sent cards of invitation to Dr Dixey and Mr Shelford, as you wished.
Your letter was brought to the notice of the Soiree Sub-Committee, which met yesterday, and it was decided that the most convenient course would be for you to send in a list of names you considered should be included for invitations, this list to be checked by our despatches. Discrepancies could then be considered on their merits.' |
