In accordance with instructions received from Mr A F Yarrow I enclose herewith a transfer for £11,500 five percent. Consolidated Preference Stock in the Great Western Railway Company. The transfer has been duly executed by the Royal Society under their seal affixed at the Council meeting held on the 20th instant. I shall be glad if you will let me have the certificate for the Stock made out in the name of the President, Council and Fellows of the Royal Society of London for Promoting Natural Knowledge.
P.S I presume you will fill in the final date on the transfer.'
