Description'Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of the 1st instant, a Dr John Joseph Bennett was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1841. He is described as a botanist, and was Keeping of the Banksian Herbarium and Library till 1870. The only other Fellow of that name in our Record is James Risdon Bennet, who was elected in 1875.
I am sorry I am unable to give you any further information.'
