With reference to your letter of the 11th instant, I regret that I have no knowledge of a German Physicist of the name of Larmor, or a German Chemist name Herdweiller. the Professor 'Oswald' to whom you refer may be Professor Wilhelm Ostwald, the well know German Chemist who is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Leipzig.'
